Athens High School Supports
26th Annual Limestone Sheriff's Rodeo
The Athens High School T-4 class, "Teens
and Teachers Teaming for Technology",
and the Art Class, both completed class projects in support of the annual rodeo
last week, and Sheriff Blakely rewarded all class members with VIP Passes to the
rodeo.
“We were happy Mrs. Pettus agreed to this project again this year. It helped us
to identify our sponsor businesses, and saved us the cost of having someone do
the graphics setup for us,” said Sheriff Blakely.
Instructor Angela Pettus incorporated graphic arts in the design of the door
sticker, and Madeline Hunt was the winning student designer. Madeline is the
daughter of David and Leah Hunt of Athens.
Instructor Katie Ruf and the Art Class designed a “cowgirl and cowboy” cutout
for the Special Needs Rodeo participants to have a photo station to take their
picture. “The cutouts were a tremendous hit at the Special Needs Rodeo. One of
the longest lines were kids waiting to have their picture taken,” added Sheriff
Blakely.
