Miss Limestone Sheriff's Rodeo
Must not be less than 18 years of age nor more than 24 years of age at the time of the Miss
Limestone Sheriff's Rodeo Pageant.
Shall never have been married, have had a child, or have minor dependents.
Does not have to be a resident of Limestone County or the State of Alabama.
Should be able to ride a horse well, know the sport of rodeo, and dress Western.
Contestant attempts to influence or trouble any of the judges.
Family of the contestant attempts to influence or trouble any of the judges.
Contestants, family members, sponsors, coaches, committees and friends cause a disturbance with acts of misconduct
Contestant fails to fulfill obligations as directed by the Miss Limestone Sheriff's Rodeo.
Contestant displays any conduct detrimental to the title of Miss Limestone Sheriff's Rodeo.
Contestants must be considerate of others and act with poise and lady-like behavior in any situation.
Contestants must attend mandatory Miss Limestone Sheriff Rodeo Events with the group.
Contestants must decline all personal invitations during the pageant.
Parents, family members, sponsors, coaches, committees, and friends are welcome and encouraged to attend events but we ask that you do not have any contact with family members, sponsors, coaches, committees and friends during any Judging/Interview Session and at the Rodeo. This will be strongly enforced; anyone that fails to comply will be excused from the pageant. Please let parents, sponsors, coaches, committees and friends know about this before they attend.
Contestants must abide by all regulations or instructions from the pageant committee. Most of the Miss Limestone Sheriff’s Rodeo functions are open to family and friends but contestants must always sit together as a group.
The Limestone Sheriff's Rodeo contestants will be required to wear western attire (hat, boots, belts, etc.). Contestants are expected to wear western shirts and jeans at all times. Dress tops are nice but not mandatory. You are not expected to spend lots of money on clothing. The goal is to have fun, learn, and to promote rodeo and its sponsors. You will be judged on personality, appearance and poise. Competition includes private interviews, riding a horsemanship pattern, impromptu questions, and a three to four minute speech on a topic selected by the pageant committee.
At the conclusion of the pageant, the score sheets will be kept on file for a period of one month. In the event of a dispute, the claimant may submit a grievance in writing. At this time, the sealed envelope will be opened for verifications of the results. The contestants’ scores will not be publicly released after the competition of the Pageant.
The coronation of the newly selected Miss Limestone Sheriff's Rodeo will be during intermission of the Saturday night performance of The Limestone Sheriff’s Rodeo. The winner will be required to make a minimum of (5) or up to ten (10) appearances as Miss Limestone Sheriff's Rodeo. The Rodeo Queen Committee shall approve these appearances. Should the winner be ineligible to represent this rodeo for reasons such as prior obligations, misconduct etc. her prizes shall be forfeited. The contestant with the next highest score will have the option of representing the Limestone Sheriff's Rodeo.
